Colombia Campo Hermoso Washed CM Geisha

Hailing from the high-altitude hills of Circasia in Quindío, Colombia, producer Edwin Noreña pushes the boundaries of specialty coffee at the Campo Hermoso. This lot features a high Brix harvested gesha cherries subjected to a low oxygen environment followed by 48 hours of carbonic maceration, before being fully washed and greenhouse sun-dried under precise conditions. The result is an extraordinarily complex, elegant cup that opens with delicate notes of jasmine and warm toffee. A distinct note of crisp pepper berry cuts through the sweetness, rounding off into a juicy, sophisticated body reminiscent of a fine Grenache wine.
